Egypt Holds Israel Responsible for Freezing in Peace Process

CAIRO, April 20, 2008, (WAFA)- Egyptian Foreign minister Ahmed Abu Al-Gheit held Sunday Israel responsible for the current freeze in the peace process, criticizing its insisting on assuming the settlement policy in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).

Quoted by a number of Egyptian newspapers, he said that assuming the settlement contradicts with the two-state solution. He as well warned that in case Israel continues the settlement policy, there would be no way talking about a Palestinian state.

'Israel has to make its self clear whether it is ready for establishing a Palestinian state', he added.
