Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , Kingdom of Jordan Call on Israel to Halt Violations against Palestinian People

RIYADH, April 17, 2008, (WAFA)-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan called on Wednesday on Israel for an immediate halt to the violations against the Palestinian people and stopping settlement activities and lifting the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

During talks held on Wednesday in Riyadh on political developments in the Arab region and regional efforts and move the peace process, they stressed that the Israeli unilateral policies undermine the ongoing efforts to salvage the peace process.

The two leaders affirmed the Palestinians and Israelis must seize the conditions that the Arabs and the international community seek to create and to pave the way for finding a just and comprehensive solution of the Palestinian issue and the final status issues, pointing out that the reluctance to make a serious and genuine achievement in this direction would drag the region to more violence and instability.
