President Abbas Holds Talks with President Mubarak and King Abdulla II
CAIRO, April 02, 2008 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas held talks on Thursday with President Husni Mubarak and King Abdulla II in Cairo.
Discussions were focused on the exerted efforts to push the peace process forward between the Palestinian and Israeli sides to reach a just solution to the Palestinian issue that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
President briefed both leaders on the process of negotiations and the situation in the Palestinian territories.
For their parts, king Abdulla and President Mubarak stressed the significance of the international community support for the negotiating process to reach a comprehensive solution to all final status issues, warning at the same time of wasting time of the current chance of peace and its impact on security and stability in the region.
The two leaders stressed the necessity for Israel to abide by its commitments and stop all its unilateral acts, the of which stopping settlements activities and end the siege imposed on the Palestinian people.
