Abu el-Gheit Criticizes Israeli Settlement Activities
CAIRO, April 2, 2008, (WAFA) - Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Abu el-Gheit strongly criticized Wednesday the Israeli ongoing settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories OPT.
Abu el-Gheit was quoted as saying that such a policy sabotages the efforts meant to achieve peace by end of 2008. Peace Now Israeli movement latest report about the pace of the settlement activity after international summit of Annapolis reveals the negative Israeli intentions concerning the US backed peace process.
He as well called on the international community, mostly the US, to pressurize Israel halts such activities to save the peace chances left as grapping the Palestinian lands only makes the choice of two states just impossible.
