IOF Demolishes House in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM, February 11, 2008 (WAFA) - Israeli bulldozers knocked down a Palestinian-owned house in East Jerusalem, witnesses said.
Local witnesses told WAFA that the house was constructed 30 years ago, and is owned by Aishah Arraameen, 56, who received a demolition order over three years ago, and, after hiring a lawyer, the order was canceled.
they added that today in morning, Israeli soldiers arrived at around nine in the morning, blocked the area and demolished the house. The Israeli municipality of Jerusalem also issued an order forcing the family to pay for the cost of the demolition, the house owners said.
according to witnesses, the soldiers demolished the foundation of a house located near the Arraameen home.
