Shabaneh Heads Palestine's Delegation to UN Statistics Commission Annual Meeting
RAMALLAH, February 21, 2007, (WAFA)-Palestine Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Wednesday that an official delegation headed by Mr. Luay Shabaneh, President of PCBS has left today to the USA to represent Palestine in the 38th session of the United Nations Statistics Commission and the 60th anniversary that will organized during the period February 23rd - March 3rd 2007.
Shabaneh stated that the commission in its annual meeting will discuss all issues that have to do with developing international official statistics systems across the world. "A remarkable discussion is expected to take place on the organization and development of official statistics."
Shabaneh concluded that this meeting aims at discussing the reports prepared by the committees and task force and city groups that constituted by UN Stat commission.
