President Holds Talks with Egypt's Mubarak


CAIRO, November 15, 2006 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas held Wednesday morning in Cairo a round of discussions with President Husni Mubarak .

The President briefed Mr. Mubarak on the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory in light of Israeli military escalation and the suspension of international aid as well as the imposed siege on the Palestinian people.

The meeting tackled also the exerted effort to form a national government and possible means to revive the peace process and put it back on track.

The two Presidents exchanged views on issues of common interest, the priority of which is to strengthen bilateral ties.

The meeting was attended by Presidency Secretary General, Tayyeb Abdulraheem, Presidency Spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rdaina, PLC Member, Mohammed Dahlan and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Munzer ad-Dajani.

It also was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Abu al-Gheit Intelligence Chief Omar Suleiman, and Presidency Spokesperson Awwad Zaki,
