GAZA, November 10, 2006 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Ismael Haniyya said on Friday that his latest meetings with President Mahmoud Abbas were fruitful, affirming they have agreed to form a national unity government.
He told a press conference in Gaza that President Abbas and he have laid the foundations for a national unity government, adding they will resume dialogues during the next week to form the government, based on the Prisoners' Document, maximum within three weeks.
He stressed the main goal behind forming a national unity government is lifting the siege imposed on the Palestinian people, affirming no names have been nominated to occupy any portfolio.
