Deputy PM Condemns Transferring Qalandia Checkpoint into International Crossing
RAMALLAH, April 4, 2006 (WAFA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Naser ad-Dein al-Shaer said that the transferring of Qalandia checkpoint, by Israel, into an international crossing violates all agreements and the U.S. guarantees.
Al-Shaer told reporters, on Tuesday, in Ramallah, that the Israeli procedure means imposing a de facto on the ground and a kind of besieging Jerusalem, pointing out that the U.S. guarantees that no change occurs in Jerusalem before reaching a final solution.
He called on the entire world and the international community to pressurize the Israeli government to abide by the international law.
