Israeli Supreme Court Gives State Prosecutor Additional 30 Days to<br> Respond on Legal Status of GS
GAZA, March 1, 2006 (WAFA) - Gaza Community Mental Health Programme said Wednesday that the Israeli Supreme Court issued Yesterday a decision to accept the State General Prosecutor demand to give them 30 additional days to respond on the legal status of the Gaza Strip (GS) after implementing the Israeli withdrawal.
The Programme said this decision came as part of the lawsuit case presented by Gaza Community Mental Health Programme and Physicians for Human Right-PHR Israel to force the Israeli army to stop its sonic booms over Gaza.
"This extension comes after giving the General State Prosecutor - previously- 45 days to respond to the same question of the legal status of Gaza," it said.
The Programme said it views this decision by the Supreme Court as permission for procrastination in responding to our appeal to the court to stop the sonic booms.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army started it sonic booms on Gaza immediately after implementing the disengagement plan and military withdrawal from Gaza Strip.
