With 17 new coronavirus cases in West Bank, total for one day reaches 35

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 (WAFA) – Seventeen new coronavirus cases were discovered in the West Bank this afternoon bringing the total in one day to 35 cases and the overall total in Palestine to 741 after six cases were also recently recorded in East Jerusalem, Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said.

Of the 17 new cases, 16 were recorded in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, bringing the total in this district today to 33, and one in Ramallah, bringing total in Ramallah to two today.

With the new cases, the number of coronavirus cases in Palestine, which includes East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, has reached 741, of whom 477 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 192 in East Jerusalem.

A total of 570 have recovered in Palestine, including 373 in the West Bank, where two patients have died, 42 in the Gaza Strip where one patient has died, and 155 in East Jerusalem where two have died of coronavirus.
