Weather forecast: Relatively hot to hot conditions

 

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to clear and relatively hot to hot with a significant drop in temperature which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate and sometime active, northwesterly to westerly wind is expected. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 28°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

An additional rise in temperature is expected on Wednesday, approaching 6°C above the seasonal average. Mainly clear and hot to very hot conditions prevail in daytime and relatively hot to mild conditions in nighttime.

Thursday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and become seasonal, paving the way to partially cloudy to clear and mild conditions in most districts.

Friday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 2°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partially cloudy and cooler conditions than usual.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long periods, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, especially on Wednesday.
