RAMALLAH, February 21, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and mild to slightly cold in daytime with a rise in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
A low pressure is set to affect the region in nighttime, paving the way to cloudy and very cold conditions. Torrential rainfall is expected on most districts, with thunderstorms and occasional hail. Moderate to active westerly to southwesterly wind prevails with occasional gusts. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 13°C and a low of 6°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Saturday’s temperature is set to plummet on Saturday, paving the way to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered rainfall, which could be torrential, continue to fall on most districts along with occasional thunderstorms and hail.
Sunday’s temperature is set to slightly rise with mostly cloudy and mainly cold conditions. Scattered rain continue to fall on most districts, and is set to intensify towards the night.
Cloudy and cold to very cold conditions are set to prevail on Sunday, with a drop in temperature. Scattered torrential rainfall continue to drop along with thunderstorms and occasional hail.
PMD warns people against floods in flood-prone areas, gusty wind, slippery roads and low visibility.
