RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold, with a significant drop of temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rainfall, along with occasional thunderstorms and hail, are expected, with the rain intensifying towards the afternoon and night. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly wind prevails with occasional gusts in daytime, while northwesterly to westerly wind prevails in nighttime. Sea waves are medium to low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 11°C and a low of 6°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 10°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Thursday’s temperature is set to remain steady with mostly cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered rainfall, which could be torrential, continue to fall.
Friday’s temperature is set to rise and exceed the seasonal average, with partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime. A low pressure is set to affect the region in nighttime, paving the way to torrential rainfall and occasional thunderstorms.
Saturday’s temperature is set to plummet on Saturday, paving the way to mostly cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. Scattered rainfall, which could be torrential, continue to fall along with occasional thunderstorms.
