An Israeli travel ban on former Palestinian minister forces making presentation via Skype

MANAMA, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 (WAFA) – A former Palestinian minister was forced today to make his presentation to a conference in Manama via Skype after Israel had banned him from travel, according to Palestine ambassador to Bahrain, Khaled Aref.

Former Minister of Culture Ihab Bseiso and current director of the Palestinian National Library was invited to make a presentation at Sheikh Ibrahim Cultural and Research Center in Manama.

However, Israel refused yesterday to allow him to leave the West Bank via the crossing with Jordan prompting the chairwoman of the center, Mai bint Muhammad Al Khalifa, to invite Bseiso to make his presentation on the importance of cultural diplomacy in international relations and its role in civil society and world politics via Skype.
