RAMALLAH, Monday, February 3, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today detained at least 19 Palestinians in multiple raids across the West Bank, said the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and local sources.
In Ramallah district, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians in several raids across the district’s villages.
One Palestinian was detained after ransacking his house in Kufr Nimeh town, northwest of Ramallah.
Forces also detained four other men in a raid in Silwad town, located to the east of Ramallah.
A similar overnight raid was carried out in al-Bireh city, resulting in the detention of a former prisoner whose father is also a prisoner serving 30 years in jail for resisting the occupation.
In Jerusalem district, Israeli military stormed Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, where soldiers rounded up two Palestinians.
In Bethlehem, Israeli military detained two people and a 16-year-old Palestinian minor from Beit Ummar in the Hebron district.
In the northern West Bank, local sources confirmed a predawn military raid in Beit Furik town, east of Nablus city, resulting in the detention of two Palestinians.
In the meantime, witnesses confirmed that Israeli forces detained two brothers after thoroughly searching their house in Qalqilia city.
In Jenin district, an overnight military raid was conducted in al-Hashemiyya village, west of Jenin, resulting in the detention of three Palestinians, including a former prisoner.
One youth was also detained in occupied East Jerusalem.
