HEBRON, Sunday, February 2, 2020 (WAFA) - Dozens of Palestinians suffocated today evening during the continuous confrontations that broken out since early morning in the city of Hebron, the southern occupied West Bank, said WAFA correspondent.
Israeli forces attacked Palestinians who rallied in protest of the US-touted Mideast peace plan, during which forces heavily fired stun grenades and teared gas canisters toward protesters who responded by throwing rocks at the former. Dozens suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.
WAFA cameraman was also injured in the clashes and treated at the scene.
Forces reportedly forced a number of shop owners to close their shops, while others closed them due to the intensity of tear gas fumes fired by the forces. Watch video here.
