RAMALLAH, Friday, January 31, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold with a drop in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

A chance of scattered rain showers, which could be accompanied with occasional thunderstorms, is expected in the northern districts, and spread to the central districts. The rain will taper off towards the evening and night.

Active southwesterly to northwesterly winds prevail with occasional gusts which could reach 70 km/h. Sea waves are medium to high.

Saturday’s temperature is set to slightly drop with partly cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Sporadic rainfall is still expected on most districts.

A rise is expected in temperature on Sunday with partly cloudy and mainly cold conditions. A slight chance of scattered rainfall is expected on some districts.

Monday’s temperature is set to further rise with partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions.

PMD warns people against gusty winds, particularly on Friday, slippery roads and low visibility.
