RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 09, 2020 (WAFA) –As the low-pressure continues to affect the region, heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected today and tomorrow, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is southwesterly to westerly, active with strong gusts. Sea waves are high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 8°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 7°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
The low pressure is expected to continue to affect the country on Friday with heavy rain, thunderstorms, and occasional hail, said the PMD, but gradually ends on Friday night.
Temperature is expected to rise on Saturday and on Sunday, while weather continues to be partially cloudy and very cold.
PMD warned people against the risk of flash floods in low areas and valleys, slippery roads, and gusty winds today and tomorrow.
