Injuries reported during clashes with Israeli forces in Jericho refugee camp

 

JERICHO, Wednesday, January 08, 2020 (WAFA) – Six Palestinians were today injured by rubber bullets while dozens others suffered suffocation during clashes that erupted with Israeli forces in Aqbat Jabr refugee camp, southwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to a local source.

Ayyub al-A’asi, an activist from the refugee camp, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the camp during the early hours this morning, searched and ransacked three homes.

During the raid, camp youths engaged the raiding force with stone. The soldiers fired back rubber-coated steel bullets injuring six youths, one hit over the eye and a second in the leg and were moved to Jericho hospital, while the four others were treated at the location.

The soldiers also fired teargas into the camp causing dozens of suffocation cases.
