RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 19, 2019 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated in a cable Algerian President-elect Abdel Majid Taboun on being sworn in as the new president of Algeria.

President Abbas offered his warmest brotherly congratulations to the new Algerian president, wishing him success and prosperity and the realization of the goals and aspirations of the brotherly people of Algeria.

He praised Algerian president’s duty assumption speech, in which he affirmed Algeria’s historical stances in support of the Palestinian people and their just issue.

President Abbas affirmed his keenness to work with his Algerian counterpart to further strengthen cooperation and brotherly relations between the two countries in all fields.
