RAMALLAH, Monday, December 09, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is cloudy and cold with chances of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in most areas, as a low pressure continues to affect the country, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are expected  southwesterly to westerly, moderate to active and occasionally gusty. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 12°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue until Tuesday evening as temperature rises a bit.

Temperature is expected to slightly rise on Wednesday, with mostly partly cloudy skies expected.

Another low pressure is expected to affect the country on Thursday, with chances of chances of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in most areas.

PMD warns people against floods in the low areas, speedy winds, slippery roads and the formation of fog on mountains.
