RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 5, 2019 (WAFA) – The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine reached 110.82 in October with a decrease of 0.82 percent compared to September, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

IPI for October 2019 decreased due to the decrease in the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 7.73% which had a share of 2.68% of the total industry, the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 1.86% which had a share of 11.95% of the total industry, and the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 0.49% which had a share of 82.98% of the total industry, while the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation increased by 0.67% which had a share of 2.39% of the total industry.

It should be noted that the base year of IPI has been updated to be 2018.
