RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 05, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold in daytime and cold in nighttime with seasonal temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rain showers, which could be torrential, are expected to fall in the north, intensify and spread to the central districts in the evening and night hours along with isolated thunderstorms. Light to moderate northwesterly winds will prevail. Sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 15°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Friday’s temperature is set to drop and become lower than the seasonal average with partially cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions in daytime and very cold conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts. Scattered rain showers are expected to fall on various districts.
A further drop is expected in temperature, which becomes unseasonably low, on Saturday with partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime and very cold conditions, particularly in the early morning and night hours.
Sunday’s weather is partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold with a rise in temperature. Isolated rainfall is expected to fall in the morning hours, and will gradually intensify and spread to other districts in the evening and night hours.
PMD warns people against slippery roads and the formation of fog on mountains.
