11 Palestinians detained from West Bank

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 04, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today detained at least 11 Palestinians in multiple overnight raids across the West Bank.

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians and ransacked a former prisoner’s house in Silwad town, located to the east of the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Israeli forces also two others after ransacking their houses in Deir As-Sudan town, located to the northwest of Ramallah.

Another Israeli military raid was carried out in al-Mazra‘a ash-Sharqiya town, located to the northeast of Ramallah, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian.

In Nablus district, local sources confirmed an Israeli military raid in Qabalan town, located to the southeast of Nablus city, resulting in the detention of a former prisoner.

Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles stormed the nearby village of Talfit, where soldiers rounded up a Palestinian.

In Bethlehem district, security sources confirmed a predawn Israeli military raid in al-Azzeh refugee camp, north of Bethlehem city, where soldiers rounded up two Palestinians.

In Hebron district, two Palestinians were detained during separate raids in Halhul and Beit Kahel towns, located to the north and northwest of Hebron city respectively.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
