RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 14, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is clear to partly cloudy  and unseasonably hot to extremely hot and dry in daytime and pleasant to slightly cold in nighttime with a slight rise of temperature which approaches 8°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Strong to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly winds are expected to prevail. Sea waves are low. A chance of isolated showers is expected in the afternoon, particularly in the east.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 26°C and a low of 15°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 22°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 22°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is expected to significantly drop with partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions. Scattered rain showers along with isolated thunderstorms are expected.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further slightly drop and approach the seasonal average with partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions. Scattered rainfall with a chance of thunderstorms are expected.

Mostly clear and slightly cold to pleasant conditions are expected for Sunday with a slight rise in temperature.

PMD warns people against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown on Thursday.
