RAMALLAH, Thursday, 07 November 2019 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas condemned last night the criminal attack that took place in the Jordanian city of Jerash in which eight foreign tourists and officers were stabbed and injured.
The President affirmed that the leadership and people of Palestine stand by Jordan’s King, government and people in combating these hideous attacks and pursuing all those who break the law.
He commended the brotherly and historical relationship between Palestine and Jordan, stressing that the two countries share a common history, present and future, wishing Jordan more security and stability.
A Jordanian security spokesman said three Mexican and one Swiss tourists, as well as Jordanian officers, the bus driver and a guide were stabbed in Jerash. All injuries were moderate, except one officer and a Mexican tourist who received critical wounds.
