RAMALLAH, Tuesday, November 05, 2019 (WAFA) -The Palestinian Mine Action Center (PMAC) of the Ministry of Interior announced today that it has completed demining the Arraba field in the northern West Bank district of Jenin.

PMAC head, Brigadier General Osama Abu Hanana, stressed the need to intensify Palestinian efforts to return the land in the demined field to its original owners, who have suffered as a result of not using their agricultural land for more than 50 years.

He stressed the importance of clearing mines near residential communities because of the physical and psychological danger they pose and since after the removal of the mines, the land owners will be able to benefit from them.

Abu Hanana said that these fields will be usable now and that there will be more efforts to remove mines from other Palestinian territories.
