RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 23, 2020 (WAFA) – Movement of individuals and vehicles entered into force in Palestine last night, in line with the resolution of the Council of Ministers as part of efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
People and vehicles will have to stay home until the evening of Monday, May 25, 2020, and all public and private facilities were shut down, with the exception of pharmacies and bakeries which people can only arrive at on foot.
The ban on public movement coincides with Eid al-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Palestine yesterday announced that Sunday, May 24, 2020, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr, after the Shawwal crescent was not yet seen in Palestine and the region on the night of Friday, May 22, 2020.
