GAZA, July 5, 2025 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Saturday evening as Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of airstrikes targeting areas in Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that eight people, including six children, were killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone strike hit a group of civilians in Nuseirat.
In a separate attack, Israeli warplanes bombed a water desalination plant near the Bank of Palestine in the vicinity of the Unknown Soldier's Square west of Gaza City. The strike resulted in additional casualties, though the exact number of dead and injured was not immediately confirmed.
Meanwhile, in the south of the Strip, the Israeli military demolished several residential buildings in the vicinity of Al-Katiba and Al-Mahatta areas, north of Khan Younis.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 57,338 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 135,957 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
