NABLUS, August 29, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli military banned a Palestinian university student from the northern West Bank city of Nablus from entering his college for six months.
The student, Yousef Dweikat, 20, told WAFA in a telephone call on Wednesday that he was summoned to an Israeli military camp near Jenin on Tuesday where he was ordered not to go to Najah University in Nablus, where he is a third year electrical engineering student, for six months citing his political activity on campus as the reason for the ban.
Dweikat said he contacted his university and human rights groups to inform them of this decision, which interferes in his right for education.
Dweikat was recently detained for seven months and released on September 17 of last year.
