RAMALLAH, Wednesday, January 09, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is considerably cloudy and chilly with a significant drop of temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Torrential rain with thunderstorm and hail are expected on most districts in daytime, while sporadic light rains are expected for nighttime. Snow is expected on mountains over 950 meters above the sea level.

Wind is westerly to northwesterly, active with strong gusts at times. Sea waves are high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 7°C and a low of 3°C and in Ramallah, a high of 6°C and a low of 2°C. In Jericho, temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 8°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD also predicts Thursday’s weather to be mostly clear and relatively chilly in daytime and chilly in nighttime with a slight rise in temperature.

Friday’s weather is partially cloudy to clear, relatively chilly in daytime and chilly in nighttime with a further slight rise of temperature.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further slightly rise with partially cloudy to clear and relatively cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime.

PMD warns people on Tuesday and Wednesday of strong winds, formation of floods in valleys and low areas, low visibility due to formation of fog and low clouds, slippery roads and frost formation on Thursday and Friday’s early morning.
