Military court remands writer for 12 days

 

RAMALLAH, August 9, 2018 (WAFA) – An Israeli military court Thursday remanded the Palestinian writer Lama Khater in custody for 12 more days, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

PPS attorney Firas Sabah said the court, which convened in Asqalan, remanded Khater in custody in order for the security service to continue her interrogation.

Sabah said Khater, from Hebron and who was detained on July 14 for her writings, has been undergoing intensive and severe interrogation for the last 17 days and for more than 20 hours a day.
