DOHA, August 8, 2018 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas arrive in Doha, capital of Qatar, on Wednesday for a two-day official visit.

The president met with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al- Thani and briefed him on the latest political developments in regard to the Palestinian issue.

President Abbas is scheduled to meet with Qatar‘s Emir (Prince) Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday.

President Abbas was accompanied by Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, member of Fatah Central Committee and head of the Civil Affairs Authority, General Majed Faraj, head of the General Intelligence, and Munir Ghannam, Palestine’s Ambassador to Qatar.
