RAMALLAH, July 28, 2018 (WAFA) – The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said on Saturday following its meeting in Ramallah that the Jewish nation-state law, which was recently approved by the Israeli parliament, represents the basis for the US-led “ultimate deal” or the “deal of the century”.

The PLO Executive Committee stressed that the new Israeli law undermines the Palestinian national project, abolishing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and statehood with Jerusalem as the designated Palestinian capital.

In the meantime, the Executive Committee said it will continue to pay monthly salaries to the families of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and of the Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. It condemned the decision of the US Congress to halt aid to the Palestinian Authority pending the latter’s termination of the said monthly salaries.
