Israeli army raids Dheisheh camp, attack residents

 

BETHLEHEM, May 31, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli raided Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem on Thursday morning prompting clashes with residents and causing injury, according to security sources.

They told WAFA that an army unit raided the camp to arrest activists when residents intervened to block its operation.

The soldiers fired live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the residents injuring four people in the leg. They were taken to Beit Jala hospital where they were reported in stable condition.

The army left the camp after detaining one person, said the sources.
