Israeli forces attack Palestinians with tear gas and stun grenades in Hebron, causing suffocation cases and fire to break out

HEBRON, May 12, 2025, WAFA – Several Palestinian citizens suffocated by tear gas on Monday evening after being attacked by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

According to WAFA correspondent, the occupation forces launched a barrage of tear gas canisters and stun grenades at residents in the Wadi al-Sharq area of the town, causing several people to suffer from gas inhalation. They were all treated on the scene.

The heavy firing of tear gas canisters and sound grenades also sparked a fire in agricultural lands owned by local residents. There are growing concerns that the fire could spread due to strong winds and limited access to the area.

This incident comes amid ongoing escalation by Israeli forces in Hebron Governorate, which continues to witness frequent raids and assaults against residents and their properties.
