HEBRON, March 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Tuesday physically attacked Palestinian students as they were heading to their schools in the village of al-Tawaneh, in the town of Yatta in the south of the West Bank, said a local activist.
The popular committee coordinator in Yatta, Rateb al-Jabour, told WAFA settlers severally beat up several students, causing a number of them cuts and bruises throughout their bodies.
Head of al-Tawaneh village council Mohammad Rabe’e told WAFA Israeli settlers often attack students in the area, which had spread a state of fear among students and affected their academic achievement and performance.
He maintained that Israeli forces and settlers continually target the village locals to force them to leave their land for the benefit of settlement expansion.
