Israel to uproot olive, grape trees to pave a settler-only road near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, March 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Wednesday issued notices informing Palestinian residents of the town of al-Khader, to the south of the city of Bethlehem, of their intentions to uproot trees in order to pave a settler-only road in the area.

Hassan Brejieh, the coordinator of popular anti-wall and anti-settlement committees in Bethlehem, told WAFA Israeli forces handed the town residents notices to uproot olive trees and grape vines in the area of Khallet Thaher al-‘Ein for the benefit of opening a road designated for the sole use of settlers residing in illegal West Bank settlements.
