Germany condemns attack on prime minister’s convoy

BERLIN, March 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Germany condemned on Tuesday the attack on Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah’s convoy in Gaza.

A spokeswoman for the German Foreign Office said the German Government “condemns in the strongest terms” the attack on Hamdallah‘s convoy in the Gaza Strip and wishes speedy recovery for the injured.

She said Germany encourages Prime Minister Hamdallah to continue in his efforts for intra-Palestinian reconciliation.

“Only through dialogue and agreement will sustainable progress be made to also include the people of Gaza. Violence must never be a mean for political debate,” said the spokeswoman in a statement.

She called for bringing the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
