Israeli forces close only entrance to Jerusalem village

RAMALLAH, February 25, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Sunday shut down the only entrance to to the village of Beit Iksa, to the northwest of Jerusalem, isolating it from its vicinity and preventing people from going in or out.

Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces closed Beit Iksa checkpoint and blocked the road, creating a traffic jam, without giving a reason for the closure.

Located six kilometers northwest of Jerusalem and populated by 2000 people, Beit Iksa is totally isolated from its Palestinian surroundings by the separation wall to force its residents to leave the village in order to use its area for settlement expansion.
