NABLUS, February 23, 2018 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians Friday were shot and injured and others suffocated during clashes that erupted with Israeli forces in two different locations near the West Bank district of Nablus, said medical sources.
Director of the Red Crescent‘s Emergency Department in Nablus Ahmad Jibril said clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli army forces at Huwwara military checkpoint as well at Nablus’s town of Baita.
Forces used live ammunition, rubber-baton rounds, and tear gas canisters against Palestinian residents during the clashes. A Palestinian was struck with a live bullet and transferred to hospital for medical treatment. Others were reportedly treated at the scene for rubber-coated steel bullet wounds.
A number others were treated for tear gas exposure.
