Israel detains 28 Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem, including minors

 

RAMALLAH, February 22, 2018 (WAFA) - Israeli military and security forces detained on Wednesday evening and early Thursday 28 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

It said Israeli security forces raided a number of homes in Ramallah and al-Bireh and detained three Palestinians, one of them is 17 years old.

In the northern governorates, Israeli forces raided Tulkarm, Jenin and Salfit and detained 12 Palestinians, including two brothers, and brutally beat brothers of a detainee.

Israeli forces also detained two Palestinians from the southern governorate of Bethlehem.

PPS added that two brothers were detained from Issawiya, an East Jerusalem neighborhood, three others from Jerusalem’s Old City and another one from Silwan neighborhood. Five minors aged 13-15 from the Shufat refugee camp in Jerusalem were also detained.
