Palestinian released from Israeli custody to house arrest

 

JERUSALEM, February 22, 2018 (WAFA) –A Palestinian resident of Silwan, an East Jerusalem neighborhood, was released from Israeli custody on Wednesday night and immediately placed under house arrest, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said Munther Jamjom, who was detained on Wednesday outside Damascus Gate, one of the gates to the old city of Jerusalem, was released on a $1500 bail and placed under house arrest for five days. He was also barred from seeing his friends for 30 days.

Jamjom was charged with assaulting Israeli settlers at Damascus Gate.
