Israel razes Palestinian lands in Jenin, Hebron areas

JENIN/HEBRON, February 21, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday razed lands in the village of Thahr al-Maleh, to the southwest of the city of Jenin in the north of the occupied West Bank, and in the Hebron area in the south of the West Bank, local sources said.

Ahmad Khatib, head of Thahr al-Maleh village council, told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers razed almost 50 dunums of lands where olive trees are planted in order to build a section of apartheid wall around the illegal Israeli settlement of Shaked.

He noted that Palestinian residents have been left with no road to lead to their lands from the northern side of the village.

He said once this section of the wall is completed, it will eat up more than 1000 dunums of lands belonging to residents from towns such as Yaabad and Nazlat al-Sheikh Zaid.

Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers Wednesday razed six dunums of agricultural lands in the area of al-Baq’a, to the east of the district of Hebron, and uprooted trees and crops.

WAFA correspondent said that the lands that were razed belong to Ata Jaber and is close to a road that leads to the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba.

The Jaber family said Israeli forces accompanied bulldozers as they uprooted trees in lands near their home.
