GAZA, December 15, 2017 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians Friday were fatally shot and at least 103 others were shot and injured with live ammunition during violent clashes that were witnessed along Gaza borders as Palestinians demonstrated in condemnation of US official recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
A twenty-three-year-old Palestinian, who was identified as Yasser Sokar, was fatally shot in the head during clashes that erupted along the borders to the east of Gaza. A disabled man, aged 29, was also killed after being struck in the head with live bullets. Ibrahim Abu Thrayya, 29, had his legs amputated after being injured by Israeli forces’ shelling a few years ago.
Palestinian factions called for a “Friday of Rage” over the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
At least 103 injuries by live ammunition, including five seriously, were reported in the violent clashes witnessed along Gaza borders since the early morning hours.
Dozens reportedly sustained rubber-bullet wounds and dozens others suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.
