BETHLEHEM, December 14, 2017 (WAFA) – The West Jerusalem Israeli municipality informed a Palestinian homeowner in al-Walajeh village, west of Bethlehem, on Thursday that his house will be demolished under the pretext it was built without a permit, according to a local council member.
Firas Atrash said Israeli municipal staff and forces broke into Ein Juiezeh area of the village and informed Khaled Abu Khyara that his 120-square meter house will demolished and that he has 15 days to appeal the decision.
He said a number of Walajeh homes have received demolition and stop work orders under the pretext the construction was carried out without permit.
Atrash said Israel wants to empty Ein Juiezeh of its Palestinian residents after it has annexed it to Jerusalem.
