Israeli settlers attack Nablus-area school

NABLUS, December 13, 2017 (WAFA) – Dozens of Israeli settlers Wednesday attacked a secondary school in the village of Burin, to the south of Nablus in the West Bank, provoking clashes with students, according to local sources.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in Nablus area, told WAFA that settlers and Israeli soldiers attacked the village’s secondary school provoking clashes with students.

The soldiers fired tear gas at the students causing many cases of suffocation from teargas inhalation.

Settlers’ attacks against Palestinians have been on the rise since the beginning of protests last week across the occupied Palestinian territories in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

There have also been sporadic clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians in many points of friction in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza since Trump’s announcement.
