BETHLEHEM, December 9, 2017 (WAFA) – Dozens of people suffocated from tear gas inhalation and injured by rubber bullets in the confrontations that broke out on Saturday for the second day in a row on the northern outskirts of Bethlehem, according to WAFA correspondent and medical sources.

Hundreds of people marched to the city’s northern end where Israeli soldiers are based in Rachel’s Tomb. Once the procession arrived there soldiers fired teargas and stun canisters and fired rubber bullets at the protesters causing several cases of injuries from rubber bullets and teargas inhalation, said the Ministry of Health.

Fierce clashes erupted on Friday in the same area after thousands of Palestinians took to the streets to protest a US decision recognizing Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
