UPDATE: Five Palestinians injured in clashes on Gaza border areas

GAZA, October 6, 2017 (WAFA) – At least five Palestinians Friday were injured during clashes that erupted with Israeli forces near Gaza borders with Israel to the east of the town of Jabalia and al-Birij refugee camp, said sources.

Sources told WAFA Israeli forces stationed along Gaza borders with Israel fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at a group of Palestinians present near the borders to the east of the town of Jabalia, causing various wounds to at least four youths.

The injured were transferred to Kamal Adwan hospital, in northern Gaza, for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Palestinian was struck by a live bullet in the foot during similar clashes that broke out in al-Birij refugee camp. The teen was transferred to a hospital for medical treatment, where his condition was described as moderate.
